This website is dedicated to reconstructing the pattern or developing circuit of rock music of the late sixties. It uses the known itineraries of a wide variety of bands and artists to create a visualization of that circuit. In the pages contained here, a series of maps detail the patterns according to a number of measures such as band or music types, venue types, and date. While the maps are national in scope, they are not comprehensive or complete. This is merely one approach to what is an enormous set of data, with two universities, Stony Brook and Drew, positioned as a case studies.  While numerous bands/artists are left out, there is much here to suggest insightful patterns in the development of rock music culture from 1967-1971.
